Fiddles of Fire
Great Fiddles of Fire is a high energy fusion of music, illusion and comedy. From country hits like Devil Went Down to Georgia, Irish reels to Elton John with acrobatic trick-fiddling, sentimental ballads and hilarious audience participation!
The two-hour spectacular stars multi-award winning vocal and instrumental variety duo String Fever with special guests comedy-magician Steve Hart, feature vocalist Paula Watt and the fabulous Flaming Sambuca Band.
Earning wide acclaim from American and European audiences, they have spent much time developing new and original material, never before seen in Australia.
Most recently developed are String Fever's graphic musical portrait of a traditional Spanish bullfight, and a reverent and emotional rendition of our unofficial national anthem Waltzing Matilda.
String Fever also pay tribute to Topol's recent Australian season of Fiddler on the Roof and breathe new life into classical favourites like Flight of the Bumblebee.
Joining String Fever on stage are Steve Hart - Australia's mad man of comedy, magic and fire eating - and vivacious MO and ACE award nominee Paula Watt. Paula hosts the show with her own special zing, as well as joining String Fever in some exquisite vocal arrangements with strings attached!
