Chinese Lion Dancers

Based in Melbourne.

Corporate Chinese Themed events...  Imagine, four lions lining the entrance into the room and inside, the room is decorated with lanterns, Chinese banners and Chinese lanterns as centrepieces on all the tables. Four lions performed choreographed to 7 minutes.

Weddings...

The Hong De's Double Double Happiness Lions performed at a wedding in the ballroom. The lions were accompanied by a female Buddha, and 4 musicians.

The lions presented the bride and groom with a Double Happiness ribbon to cut and a pair of Chinese wedding Pandas.

Product Launches and Openings... for special events, festivals, launches and openings. The lion delighted children by showering them with 'Lucky Packet' lollies.

The Hong De Lion Dance Association (墨爾本弘德國術會) was formed in April 2008 by a group of passionate lion dancers. The founding members formed the Committee of the Association. The Hong De Lion Dance Association is a member of the Confederation of Sar Ping Lion Dance.

Even though we are a newly formed Association, our instructors have over 20 years experience in the art of Chinese Lion Dance.

The Association aims to teach and promote the art to the community. Our instructors have been taught and inspired by Sifu Deng Chi Tang in the art of Futsan (Foshan) style lion dancing and by Sifu Siow Ho Phiew (Xiao Fei Hong) in the art of Hoksan (Heshan) style of lion dance. Both lion dance masters have influenced the performing styles of our lion dancing.
