XF's Andrew Lawson
How X Factor kick started his career...
After gaining a place at the prestigious Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he was studying a Bachelor of Music, Andrew Lawson decided to defer his course and audtioned for X Factor.
Andrew finished in 3rd place in the tightly contested X Factor Grand Final.
Andrew Lawson and band deliver a performance that is guaranteed to charm & thrill his audiences with a repertoire that crosses all generations.
2011 was a busy year for Andrew, touring nationally with the famed Leo Sayer & Taylor Dayne as well as recording his debut EP , "Factor This".
Performances range from a lounge style duo to 15 piece band. With a pool of musicians nationwide, we are conscious of budgets, thus keeping costs to a minimum.
Born in Northern Ireland, Andrew and his family moved to New Zealand when he was six years old, before moving to Noosa five years ago.
He started playing guitar at age seven, and has evolved into a songwriter.
Andrew proudly acknowledges his Dads influence exposed him to a different world of music. He lists Elvis, Sinatra, Dean Martin and Jack Johnson amongst his singing idols.
