The Tarantinos (Australia)

The Tarantino's deliver a dynamic, high energy filled show inspired by soundtracks from Quentin Tarantino movies. Inspired by the Writer/Director Quentin Tarantino, A Cat named Joe, Chuck Habit, Link Rumble & K Billy, a band of professional musicians are The Tarantinos. Their show is based on their fascination with the incredible eclectic soundtracks accompanying his films. Performing the iconic and ageless songs from the films Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, From Dusk Till Dawn, Kill Bill, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.

The Tarantinos embody all the hard hitting style of these films, includes musical genres: Surf, Blues, Country, Soul, Rock, Spaghetti Western, Motown and Rockabilly. The band adapts the dialogue for each audience, bleeps are added when necessary, without taking the "sway" from the selected songs.

Theme Nights "Pulp Fiction"  Classic songs and Yes, includes the dance comp. So... get your Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace ON! "From Dusk to Dawn" When Halloween comes a knockin...Vampire's welcome

K Billy, drummer and occasional singer, talks us through a night in the life... "The Tarantinos have made it their business to summon the sounds of cinema's most violent auteur, and their gigs have gained a reputation as some of the most entertaining (and gorily stylish) you're likely to find. The Tarantino band was founded by Lead singer, Cat Named Joe. There's the attitude that emanates from the stage at every performance.  It's always a party, everyone really gets into it. It was always going to be Tarantino, on the strengths of the soundtracks alone. They are spread across nearly every genre. You cross every border of music, there's a lot of iconography. The suits are very recognizable, and anything from Kill Bill people will instantly get. We have dialogue interspersed through the whole set, and with just a single line you see this response in the audience, "Oh, of course," and then you get the follow-up song.

With so many genres to choose from, we create a unique show, certain themes spark unexpected directions. Add a splash theatrics and you have a  memorable performance.  The Tarantinos sets: 1 x 60 minutes  or  2 x 45 mins. Song List on request.
