U2 Australian TributeBased in Melbourne. This Australian U2 Tribute Show has been described by many as the best. Formed originally in 1992 because of the lead singers twin-like resemblance to Bono. The only tribute band in the world with a stand alone Bono, having performed in look-a-like appearances without singing a note. Touring both nationally and internationally, the band has surprised and delighted crowds with its authenticity. No detail has been overlooked, the members of this U2 Tribute Show have refined both the look and sound of their famous Irish counterparts, assuring both an exciting and memorable show. Gary Morris - vocals Gary Morris never set out to be a Bono impersonator, but after repeatedly being asked 'has anyone ever told you you look like...' he decided to take the advice 'if you can't beat 'em join 'em' and the rest is history. With the voice to match and with over 12 years of experience, you will not find a better Bono world-wide.
Luke Manton - drummer Having completed an associate diploma in Television and Film Production, Luke has an appreciation of the entertainment industry from alternative points of view. Being an avid U2 fan also gives him the inspiration and inside knowledge, playing the music with the dynamic highs and lows, the way it's meant to be played, not just playing it like a cover band drummer Jeff Box - lead guitar A brilliant Edge-like voice as well as the licks, with a stage presence that out shines all before him, he's a great balance for an on stage Bono. A seasoned performer, Jeff studied four years of guitar at the Bruce Clarkes Jazz School and is now a guitar teacher himself. Jeff has also had great success as the songwriter/guitarist with Melbourne Power/Pop band WAYLAYD (signed with Zomba Records) had a number one hit for 2 months on TRIPLE M, as well as touring nationally with his band. Jeff has also played Melbourne's Tennis Centre, so much for the saying that "those who can't do teach". Having begun at 8 years old Jeff's love of the six (sometimes twelve) string has led him to us and without a doubt he's a great assett. Robb Dabbs - bass guitar Not just a live performer, Robb has also spent many hours over the last ten years recording for various artists as well as recording his own original material. Having been a bass teacher for many years, Robb has a theoretic understanding of the bass as well as the practical, allowing him to concentrate on the theatrical side of his performance, to bring to life those Clayton riffs and moves that every U2 fan knows and loves. Robb is also an accomplished guitar player but prefers the allure of the bass guitar.
