They started working together in 2001, whilst performing and writing for a sketch comedy show called "The 5th Dementia,’'which went on to win the Fringe Festival Best Comedy Award.
This same show had a subsequent sell-out performance at The Famous Spiegeltent in the same year. In 2002, Josh, Mandy and Kate formed ‘The Six’ and have been working under that name as a production company and comedy group ever since.
