NEW08 - the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art’s annual exhibition for emerging artists

Seven Australian artists will create their dream works for NEW08, the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art’s annual commissions exhibition for emerging artists.

This year audiences will be treated to dayglo geometrics, resuscitated record covers, fluro patterns, mirror worlds and live social encounters in an exhibition series that is known for consistently delivering works of surprise and invention.

Verrierdale Full Moon Dance

It a fantastic line up for the next Full Moon Dance at Verrierdale on Saturday 16 February including Showpony, Hat Fitz and Itchy, Psychedelia and the William Moon Book Society. Many performers and moon dance regulars say these dances are the best gig on the coast. The atmosphere in the old hall is just like a big party.

REEDY RIVER RUNS AGAIN – IN REDLAND

A pivotal episode of Australian union and working class history will be brought to life in Redland Shire with the presentation of the Australian classic musical play Reedy River. Terry Annesley, Director of THEATRE GENESIS, has drawn together a cast of local actors for a dinner show that will be presented at the historic Redland Museum, opening January 26 2008.
