The hyper-prolific, blood visionary Jay Reatard will be touring Australia for the first time in March. After a decade of touring and recording with some of the biggest names in US garage rock/punk, few people would be able to look back on their adolescence and see such an influential catalogue of gutter-level hits, destroyed disco balls, straight-up copy cats, and legions of obsessed fans… His debut solo album, ‘Blood Visions’ (written, recorded and produced entirely by Jay - released locally by Stained Circles) is an iconic statement of twisted new wave, punk / garage pop genius. Please see attached Bio for more info on Jay Reatard.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
DEVASTATIONS with Gareth Liddiard (solo) and special guest
Saturday 2 February 2008
Originating from Melbourne, and now based in both London and Berlin, Devastations have released a new record ‘Yes, U’, which sloughs off their previous history and hints at spiritual predecessors like Serge Gainsbourg and the Velvet Underground - urbane artists who revelled in the life of the metropolis, with all its glamorous, grimy, and sensuous details. But it also brings to mind thornier cosmopolitans such as Suicide, Scott Walker and Yoko Ono - deep thinkers all, each noted for creating treacherous sonic environments and tangible, physical sounds. ‘Yes, U’ is a fashionable discotheque festooned with enough ideas to kindle the fires of the mind.
