Stuttgart University’s orchestra accompanies two large combined Melbourne choirs on 5 April in West Melbourne for its only Melbourne performance. The German orchestra conducted by Veronica Stoertzenbach will perform Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, and accompany Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and Melbourne University Choral Society in works by Bruckner and Schubert.

With their much anticipated sophomore album, Sharing Space due for release on April 12, triple j, jjjtv, Aloha & The Atlas Agency are pleased to announce COG’s Sharing Space Tour for this coming May and June. Spanning some six weeks, the tour will feature two of New Zealand’s finest live rock bands, Kora and Jakob as well as local Melbourne prog-rockers Sleep Parade and Brisbane’s Melodyssey and will be COG’s biggest tour to date.

Sixteenth Push Over a Blessed Success
PUSH OVER 2008 welcomed 1,800 young people to the Abbotsford Convent for the biggest all-ages music event of the year. With 4 stages spread out within the convent grounds, punters witnessed mind-blowing performances by a star-studded lineup featuring British India, Capeside, Carpathian, CC Martini, Closure in Moscow, Cog, Custom Kings, Dead Letter Circus, Famous by Association, 50 Lions, The Galvatrons, The Getaway Plan, Gyroscope, Her Nightmare, In Fiction, Little Red, Mere Theory, Muph & Plutonic, Paris Wells, Shihad, Stealing O’neal, The Vasco Era and Young & Restless and loads more. No incidents were reported by security or St Johns and punters had a blast in a fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke-free event.
