The Bedroom Philosopher (nee Justin Heazlewood) is a self-deprecating, witty maverick who is about to unleash his retro-folk super musical powers on lucky punters in Sydney and Melbourne this March and April.
Leaving no stone unturned, he is preparing to don his comedic hat for a string of shows in Sydney, as well as taking part in a guest speaker presentation at the Gallery of NSW as part of the Archibald Prize 2009, where he’ll use his wit and well-honed eye for art to share his thoughts on this year’s contenders. Shows are Tuesday 10th March in Darlinghurst, Wednesday 11th March at the Gallery of NSW and Thursday 12th March in Glebe.

Melbourne’s Downhills Home are getting ready to release their brand spanking new album, The Wolves in the Woods on Wednesday April 1st.
The album, off the back of their highly celebrated 2007 debut Minor Birds, has been hotly anticipated, and features special guest vocalists Laura Jean and Mia Dyson, with Jen Anderson stepping in for fiddle duties on two tracks.

100 Years of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria
A new exhibition at the City Gallery will display the treasures of the Royal Historical Society of Victoria as it celebrates its centenary year.
The Royal Historical Society of Victoria is one of the oldest community-based collection institutions in Australia. Largely run by volunteers who a century ago realized Victoria’s history was worth preserving, the Society is custodian to a meticulously researched collection of photographs, artworks, rare books, archives, ephemera and objects related to Victoria’s early history.
