DRUNK MUMS
PORCUS VS EQUUS
THE EYEBALL KICKS
Next Thursday, Yah Yah’s will play host to a fantastic night of bluesy and gutsy disco rock. Headlining the night are Drunk Mums. Formed in Cairns five years ago their blood and guts style is entangled with catchy hooks and filled with juicy tales of bank robbery, lives of young ruffians and finding the beauty in benders. Porcus vs Equus are confusingly highbrow yet idiotic dropping prog-rock into a very dirty gutter. Stumbling clumsily over often complicated guitar arrangements, they deliver a unique air-punching opportunity to the rhythmic savant. The Eyeball Kicks draw inspiration from the White Stripes but you can expect everything from simple power chord rock to funked up salsa blast beats. Catch Drunk Mums, Porcus vs Equus and The Eyeball Kicks at Yah Yah’s next Thursday.
