On the opening night of the Leaps and Bound Music Festival the Yarra Hotel will be home to all that is the City of Yarra in song and spoken word.

“BACK ON TRAK” CD LAUNCH
The exciting new album of original recorded music from a group of musicians who are currently living with a mental illness and have had experienced homelessness.
The project to enable participants to experience the healing effects of music has been run by community serice agency Prahran Mission and sponsored by Trak Live Lounge is now complete.
Back on Trak features seven tracks of original music and lyrics by musicians who have developed their craft over the last 12 months.
Michael Gudinski, Director, Trak said “Music has given me so much and i know its healing powers. I have seen firsthand how it can help people at any age and in any circumstance”.
“It has been a privilege to help these incredible people get their lives back on track. We invited you to come to the launch and witness their breathtaking talent”, Jamie Nasser, Director, Trak.
“The inspiration for this CD came from witnessing the incredible talent in our music group”, Kaz Della Rossa, Support Worker, Prahran Mission.

ACDC, Cold Chisel, The Divinyls, Rose Tattoo, Beasts of Bourbon, The Scientists, Bored, The Mark of Cain, Magic Dirt, Silverchair, Jet, Birds of Tokyo, Wolfmother and Airbourne are just a few of the bands who have led and continue to lead the way, locally and internationally today.

As one of Australia ’s longest running metal bands Dreadnaught have established themselves as a cornerstone for Australian heavy rock audiences. Saturday the 15th of June sees them return to the Tote with long time friends one of Melbourne’s tightest live acts, Red Sky Burial, for a night of mayhem. Also getting up to do what they do best are the gatekeepers of the eternal riff, TTTDC and blues fuelled Guzoline. Tickets are $12 on the door so dust off the winter blues and get along to Winter Blaze @ The Tote.
