Brooks & Dunn 2nd Brisbane Show Announced
Less than a week after tickets went on sale last Monday, Brooks & Dunn announced a second Brisbane concert today.
Promoter Michael Chugg, Executive Chairman of Chugg Entertainment, confirmed the world’s biggest country music duo, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, would play the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday May 8, the night before their “in-just-hours-sold-out” Saturday concert, with tickets going on-sale Tuesday December 2.
“There were just too many disappointed fans,” Chugg said.
“Doing the second show was a no-brainer,” said tour co-promoter, Rob Potts of Entertainment Edge.
“Kix and Ronnie were all for it too, but it was finding a date that worked for fans, especially those who have to travel,” he continued.
“We did what you do, sorted the logistics, got it locked in, and now Queensland has both a Friday and Saturday night. A Brooks & Dunn weekend if you like.”
Adding to the cracking country-clout, Brooks & Dunn are joined in Brisbane by high-octane US country music hottie Dierks Bentley – playing Australia for the first time – and Jasmine Rae, this year’s Telstra Road To Tamworth winner and, for the past seven weeks, radio’s #1 Most Played Australian country music performer.
Brooks & Dunn have been called an “extra special, straight-up-the-guts country act!” and there’s no argument to the contrary.
Brooks & Dunn sold out a 10,000-capacity arena in just hours.
Those not ‘in-the-B&D-know’ might be mystified, but for those who get it, just ask them.
Together for seventeen years, Brooks & Dunn record great songs, hit after hit, album after album.
They’ve had 23 Number One singles and sold 30 million albums.
Their latest outing, Cowboy Town, has spawned three chart-toppers: Proud of the House We Built, Cowboy Town and Put a Girl in it!
The fourth single, Cowgirls Don’t Cry, debuted in the US Billboard Top 40 day of release.
Brooks & Dunn pump out two-hour-plus blistering concerts that leave fans wanting more.
They toured Australia for the first time in February this year and now they’re coming back, giving fans want they want. More.
Straight-up, Brooks & Dunn are that good.
