Woodford Welcome Orchestra Project Audition Call Out

Woodford Welcome Orchestra Project
Audition Call Out
Come and join the Woodford Folk Festival as the festival celebrates it’s 30th birthday. You are invited to be part of a 40 piece orchestra and perform with 4 x aria award winner Katie Noonan. Performances will be held on the Sunshine Coast and in the WFF Welcome Ceremony in front of an amphitheatre audience of 10,000.

All are invited to audition for the Welcome Orchestra which will consist of local Sunshine Coast community members of all ages and skill levels. The Welcome Orchestra will perform music composed by Andrew Veivers - acclaimed composer, director, musician. The event will feature a Festival Song composed by Katie Noonan.

Tjapukai Redevelopment & Auditions

Dear Performers and Representatives of Australian Indigenous Cultures,
Tjapukai Aboriginal Culture Park is undergoing a $12 million dollar redevelopment and as part of that process I have been engaged to replace their daytime cultural dance show and then later in the year the night time dinner show experience. As part of that upgrade we are going to be auditioning Indigenous performers and exponents of Indigenous culture to help us fulfill our cultural and performance objectives.
Auditions will be held in:
Kuranda 25th February
Cairns 4th March
Brisbane 5th March
Sydney 6th March
Melbourne 7th March
Adelaide 8th March
Venue details in these cities will be forward to all applicants.

PUSH SONGS 2013
Attention Victorian songwriters!
A new year, so it’s time for some new songs and here’s the songwriting shot in the arm you need! FREE!
Once again, the innovative and inspiring song writing mentoring program, Push Songs returns mid Feb 2013.
Successful applicants will take part in one on one, 90 minute workshops to develop their song writing skills. One session with Charles Jenkins, as well as sessions with two of the following special guest songwriters: Mark Seymour, Adalita, Mick Thomas and Angie Hart.
Participants from all corners of the state of Victoria, of any age are encouraged to apply for the Brunswick-based program managed by The Push and APRA and supported by the Arts Victoria and the Australia Council.
