Some of Australia’s top musicians, including Paul Kelly, Tex Perkins, James Reyne, Nick Barker, The Fauves, Ella & Jesse Hooper, Vika & Linda Bull and more are banding together to play a very special show at the Prince Bandroom on Thursday November 27th.
The gig is being held to help raise money for their dear friend and music industry veteran Kate Bentley, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Money raised will help assist Kate’s fight against and recovery from cancer, a disease, which affects so many people.

‘OXFAM FUNDRAISER’ featuring SUPERGROUP FLASHBACKS
The Mavericks are going for their second 100km Oxfam Trailwalk. They did it last year and love the challenge and are all ready to do it again in 2008. They will be walking from Jells Park to Wesburn Park and have 48 hours to do so. To do the walk each team needs to raise money in support of Oxfam. These girls are committed to raising $3000. Oxfam works in 27 countries across East Asia and South Asia, Southern Africa, the Pacific and Indigenous Australia, in partnership with local communities. Supporting self-help development projects, responding to emergency situations around the world with humanitarian assistance, such as water and sanitation.

As you may have heard, Steve Lucas (X) has recently returned from playing a huge benefit concert in Kathmandu for the Love Hope Strength Foundation - a multi-national cancer charity. Love Hope Strength has built an army of supporters around the world - dubbed the LHS Army - and recruited 40 climbers for this huge event, which was was also filmed for a documentary.
