RUSSELL SMITH (keys) with more special guests to be announced soon!

Ross is adored and respected by Melbourne and Australia’s music loving audience and fellow musicians alike. He’s brightened many a stage in his brilliant sartorial style accompanied by his rainbow starburst painted guitar.
An Aria hall of fame inductee as a founding member of Daddy Cool, Ross’s musical history spans 50 years. Beginning in the mid 60’s at age 16 with the Pink Finks, then Party Machine, Sons of the Vegetal Mother, Daddy Cool, Mighty Kong, Bambu, Billy T, One Foundation, Lucky Dog , Small Axe, Dianna Kiss (10 year residency at the Espy) to last year’s Critters. Back in the 90’s when Paul Kelly was asked why he lived in Melbourne, his reply was “Where else in the world can you see Ross Hannaford play for free every Monday night?’
Ross has also added his distinctive magic to many recordings and bands over the years such as Mark Gillespie, Goanna, Black Sorrows, Paul Madigan, Ian Moss, Renee Geyer and so many more.
Ross recently discovered a love of busking. On the suggestion of good friend, indigenous musician songwriter Bart Willoughby (No Fixed Address) they took to the street and recorded two CDS. Ross loves the immediacy of playing on the street and revelled in the anonymity of it. As Ross said in an interview with the ABC last year…
” if you want to pull in some attention, you’ve got to do something interesting or different.
“It means I’m connecting afresh, not relying on anything in the past.”
There will be an auction of some terrific items, including some great music memorabilia.
