Sydney foursome The Holidays’ debut album ‘Post Paradise’ may have been a long time coming, but it has categorically been worth the wait. **Tickets on sale NOW! The Meanies (Last Show Before Europe!)
+ Useless Children + Cabin Fever + Seedy Jeezus
Saturday 14 August
Fresh from celebrating 21 years of gnarly rock and roll action, the Meanies have been busy stuffing their rucksacks for another tour of Europe but not before one more kick arse show at the Tote, the bands spiritual home for over the last two decades.
It was at the esteemed Collingwood venue where booker Roderick “Wally” Kempton took a shine to a snotty punk band that opened for Intoxica one Friday night in May 1989. Six months later Kempton was playing bass in The Meanies and the classic Meanies line-up was solidified.
Over the next twenty years the Meanies led by the charismatic ‘Link’ McLellan became a local cult sensation. Aided by some choice supports including Nirvana/Pearl Jam, many all-ages gigs and a relentless local and national touring schedule, The Meanies evolved into a national independent punk rock phenomenon. It hasn’t stopped.
Joining them on this special night of punk rock mayhem will be the awesome Useless Children back from a US jaunt as well as Cabin Fever and Seedy Jeezus.
So chuck on your flannel and chuck on your Chucks. The Meanies are back at the Tote. Saturday night. August 14. Yeah!
$16+bf/$20. Doors 8.30pm.

CABIN FEVER
IGOYA
APE IS APE
SPACE GHOST
Thursday night sees four bands building from garagey noise pop to frenetic hardcore. CABIN FEVER recall the early glory days of the birth of American hardcore such as The Germs and Black Flag. They’re followed by IGOYA, who play an original mix of hyperactive chaotic rock and upbeat old school punk, with a touch of prog and new wave. APEISAPE sound like Black Sabbath, the Birthday Party and Pink Floyd in a blender and then drank with a Sonics and a 13th Floor Elevators chaser. Last of all is SPACE GHOST, ready to inflict their particular brand of nineties-laced noise-pop on live audiences, with catchy guitar melodies and songs about girls & school.

the harshness of industrial influence, Fear Factory set a new standard in extreme music, a standard they
continue to bear to this very day. Albums include Demanufacture, Obsolete, Digimortal, Transgression
and this year’s Mechanize.
