On January 26, they’ll come from far and wide to enter Australia’s toughest challenge. Folks are peeling off everywhere; Heads are rolling, legs are flying and tails are getting squeezed….in what order? Well that’s their secret.
When it comes to peeling prawns, everyone has their own technique and some are bloody fast at it. Each day next week, Triple M’s The Cage with Ian Skippen, Marto, Sully and Emily Jade, could be selecting you as a finalist to peel it out at South Bank from 1pm on Australia Day to win the title of The Cage’s Prawn Star and score yourself $5,000 cash!

While Triple M’s Ian Skippen is most famous for his stellar career in radio and for anchoring Triple M’s The Cage breakfast show, he has always harboured a secret wish … to become a barista. In December the team at Merlocoffee granted this wish, giving Skip one-on-one barista training at the Merlocoffee Bowen Hills torrefazione (roasting factory) and after his inside look at the art of the perfect coffee, Skip is now keen to spread the word about coffee appreciation (photos available, or can be taken, interviews available).
