Open Studios joins with Snuff Puppets to present - Snuff Party

Internationally renowned giant puppet and physical theatre company, the Snuff Puppets will
feature as part of Open Studios – an event in which artists in Melbourne’s west open their
studios to the public on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November 2010.

Snuff Party is a public opening of the Snuff Puppets’ studio at Footscray’s historic Drill Hall.
It will be a night of entertainment and artistic experiment - loosely based on the Human
Body; inside and out, literal, metaphorical, metaphysical, magical and shocking.

Short+Sweet Cabaret - submissions

The cabaret version of the world’s most successful showcase event, Short+Sweet, has been rejuvenated with the appointment of a new Festival Director and the launch of submissions for its 2010 season.

Short+Sweet Cabaret will be held at Chapel Off Chapel in Prahran from Thursday 18 to Sunday 28 November 2010 under the stewardship of new Festival Director Emma Clair Ford.

Impro Melbourne presents Celebrity Theatresports™

The annual challenge is on. Impro Melbourne’s gungho players have thrown down the gauntlet to drafted celebrity guests: Go funny, or go home.

See TV, radio and sporting personalities as you’ve never seen them before - and as they’ve never seen themselves. Every scene is made up on the spot, sparked by audience suggestion, powered by serious impro training and performance-enhancing
chocolate bars.

The game will be full of thrills, sportsmanship and surprises. Cheer as your team reaches dizzying comic heights one minute, then gasp as they cop a penalty the next. The stars are coming out to play, but there will be no excuses, just a riotous fight to the end.
