Feelin’ Fine - The Sunday Arvo Sessions
Having spent the last 4 months touring across Canada and the USA with Oka, Bobby Alu returned to Australia a few weeks ago just in time to celebrate his one year anniversary of playing live. Aptly, the venue for the occasion was The Island Vibe Festival on Stradbroke Island, where it all began for him 12 months ago. Having quite literally only just arrived back in the country, Bobby cut it pretty fine, making it to Straddie only two hours before he was due onstage.
Having also just showcased at the Australasian World Music Expo last week in Melbourne, Bobby is glad to be back in Australia for summer, as The Au Review said of his recent single ‘Take It Or Leave It’, “a great chilled, laid back reggae sound that is the perfect soundtrack for when the weather gets warmer”. In order to celebrate this and in keeping with the island flavoured, soul-reggae vibe he’s renowned for, Bobby has announced that forgoing the standard evening fair, he will be heading into the hot season with a string of ‘Sunday Arvo Sessions’. Entitled The ‘Feelin’ Fine Tour, the Sunday arvo sessions will also serve as the precursor to Bobby’s new single and accompanying national tour, to take place early next year.
