Corrina Steel performs at The Excelsior Hotel
Corrina Steel released her acclaimed 3rd album A Fling with the King last year, and its mix of roots, blues, soul country and rock saw the talented singer/songwriter successfully take the leap from country-rock to a more bluesy rock- roots sound.
Her voice has been compared to Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris and Bonnie Raitt, and combined with a rocking live show, featuring a band comprised of Jacob Cook on drums, Adam Pringle on guitar and Ken Gormley (Cruel Sea) on bass Corrina Steel has been winning fans wherever she goes.
After wowing audiences at Byron Bay Blues Fest, and a successful album tour over summer, Corinna and the boys are performing at their favourite inner city haunt on Wednesdays in June. She’ll be joined by special guests Daddy-O and Jason Walker on June 9, Sime Nugent on June 16, and Jeremy Edwards & The Dust Radio Band and Brett Winterford on June 23. June 30 guests to be announced. Music kicks off from 8pm, entry is $12. www.myspace.com/corrinasteel
