Dead Frenchmen release debut EP
Melbourne’s Dead Frenchmen release debut EP ‘When Ghosts Take Over’
Melbourne’s Dead Frenchmen share a love of music from underground to pop, Joy Division to The Lemonheads, Swervedriver to Interpol, Archers of Loaf to The Shins Ladies.
Garnering supports for some of Australia’s best up and coming acts, including The Morning After Girls, Midnight Juggernauts, Treetops and The Red Sun Band proved they had something going on, but something you can’t quite put your finger on…
In April 2005, Lindsay Gravina took Dead Frenchmen’s jangly pop anthems and edgy new wave tinged beats with Pledgers “Curtis meets Morrisey” vocal styles floating above into legendary Birdland Studios and the result is a stellar EP with the standout element being the most important and too often lacking: great songs.
