From Wednesday June 16 through to Sunday June 20, some of the biggest names in showbiz will perform a series of spectacular shows on the ice when Disney On Ice presents a Disneyland® Adventure hits the Brisbane Entertainment Centre!
From June 16 to 20, al all-star Disney on Ice cast including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Baloo, Snow White, Cinderella, The Incredibles, Buzz Lightyear, the evil witch Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of the Caribbean and more will take over Brisbane. Tickets are now on sale through Ticketek on 132 849.
Here’s some fast facts about the show:
· There are 38 skaters in the show (20 male and 18 female), from 11 countries.
· The average age of the skaters in this show is 24 years.
· There are 97 props used in the show; 225 costumes and 367 lights!
· Each cast members wears on average four costumes during the show.
· This show features more Disney characters on the ice than ever seen before!
· Disney on Ice tours more than 60 countries on six continents.
· Brisbane marks the premiere of the Australian season!
· The ice floor weights 8 tonnes!
· The largest prop in the show is the Castle, and the smallest prop is an autograph book!
· It takes between 24 and 48 hours to build the ice floor at Boondall; and 425 man hours to install, maintain and then breakdown the ice floor for a five day season.
· During intermissions and after each performance, the ice floor is scraped and resurfaced with hot water to keep it as smooth as possible.
