Sat 6 December 2008

Doors 8.30
From the wilds of Philadelphia, please enter Man Man. Five men. Many instruments. Lots of face paint. The famously riotous Man Man live show centres on Honus Honus’ honkytonk style piano, accompanied by various instruments including a clavinet, microKORG, sousaphone, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, flute, drum set, euphonium, bass, guitar, xylophone, marimba, melodica and various percussive instruments, pots and pans, toy noise makers and horns. ADAM GREEN (USA) with special guest
Sun 14 December 2008
Doors 8.00
Adam Green will be leaving his New York home to promote his fifth solo album, ‘Sixes & Sevens’. Adam’s irreverent wit and pop sensibilities were established as a teenager with his first band, the much loved anti-folk heroes Moldy Peaches. Formed with his partner-in-crime Kimya Dawson, the band captivated critics and won fans around the world. The Peaches experienced a resurgence this year after featuring on the soundtrack of hit indie film, Juno, including the anti-love song duet, ‘Anyone Else But You’. Adam went on to experience success as a solo artist, a career that is now five albums deep. Julian Casablancas (The Strokes) says of Adam: “It always amazes me how he can express such deep meaning with such twisted humor. Adam is eccentric and down-to-earth, with new found technical proficiency over a wider spectrum of styles. I love it.” He comes to the East from the sold out Meredith Music Festival.
