We are Australia’s highest and fastest growing independant film festival, we are now in our 5th big year and we want to take your film to new heights in 2007!

Your film must be under 8 minutes and somehow include the 2007 theme…WATER
(or lack of it!). Represent the theme any way you like- but please try to be creative!
Any type, style or genre of film can be entered
we love to show a diverse range of films. Drama, docco, mocko, funny stuff, cartoons, snow, surf , travel, adventure and pretty much anything clever! We especially encourage young and first time filmakers to enter.
$5000 cash & prizes up for grabs!
Awards include: Best Film ($2,000), Best Youth Film (21 under), Best Snow/ sport Film, Best Local Film (ACT, Snowy, Sth East), Funniest Film, Best Docco and more…
Screenings premiere September in the NSW Snowy Mountains and world class ski resorts of Thredbo and Perisher Blue before hopefully showing in to a town or ski resort near you!

Flake is not just another film fest, the FFF is a tribute to our good friend “Blakey”who sadly died whilst snowboarding in 2001. We are non- profit fest and are extremely active in developing and producing a variety of youth, arts and community programs, workshops and events. Our screenings have an amazing & unique atmosphere that only comes in a ski town-this ensures your film is enjoyed and talked about long after the premiere screening by people from all over the world.
High quality production values are not essential to enter FFF, just a great idea presented in a good short film. Often, winning short films are simple, but clever , around 5 mins and made by a few friends and crew over a fun weekend (or three or four!). So, whether your a pro- filmamaker, first timer or just handy with a cam- conjour up a story, a few friends, a video camera, PC and get shooting
