FourPlay String Quartet cd launch
FourPlay String Quartet have been blurring boundaries between styles and genre and amazing audiences since shooting to prominence in the late 1990s. Covering songs by a diverse array of bands from Rage Against the Machine to Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead to Robert Johnson, this string quartet also write their own original compositions inspired by rock, pop, neo-classical, jazz, klezmer, swing, hip hop and more.
Packed houses for the first shows on their national tour over last weekend demonstrate the brilliance of FourPlay String Quartet’s live performances, and their reputation for being more band than string quartet, all of which is beautifully captured on their new live album Fourthcoming. See them launch the album @ The East Brunswick Club on Saturday August 8th.
