The upcoming Sydney shows will see The EAB handing out free pre-release copies of their debut single ‘Seasons Change’ which hits radio nationally November 14th.
Yes free; “and all unauthorised, copying, lending, broadcast, performance and streaming actively encouraged” says front-man Evan Alexander. “It is an interesting state of affairs at the moment. From online distribution through authorised downloads and the myspace phenomenon - artists should be compensated for what they do - but it’s important to be realistic and a little lateral in your approach. At the end of the day the aim is for people to hear the music and we’re not really in a position right now where we can be particularly pedantic about it. If people like it then by all means they should pass it onto to someone else who might via whichever methods they choose to do so, that’s how it’s always worked”
