Meredith Sold Out
All tickets to the 18th Meredith Music Festival have now sold out and faster than ever before. Tickets sold through record stores accounted for the queues outside the stores before they even opened, with hundreds of folks camping overnight. Festival staff were on hand at each store location from the very early morning, handing out free tea, coffee and light refreshments to those braving the great outdoors. Online sales were over in a matter of minutes. Prior to both the Store and Online sales, most of the Festival’s tickets were allocated via a Ballot system open to Subscribers in order to create a stress-free option to purchase tickets in advance.
Tickets this year are in the form of wristbands, which punters wear for the duration of the Festival. Meredith organisers have in place a Zero Tolerance Policy for anyone found on the festival grounds without a valid wristband and they expect to keep the number of people on site to a comfortable 10,000 as usual.
Meredith is staged on a vast purpose-built and pristine permanent site; thus ensuring her reputation as a spacious, relaxed, user-friendly event remains intact.
Most of the lineup is already announced with some more to come in the next few weeks.
With Meredith tickets all done and dusted, attention turns now to Meredith’s sister festival, Golden Plains, which will take place for third time in March 2009. Expect Golden Plains line up announcements and ticketing information in good time.
