Sunday, 26th February, 2pm - Wayward CD Launch. Join in the medieval madness as a new exciting Wayward, fresh from Woodford, launch their new CD “Dance While You May” - Songs spanning Ten Centuries about Love, Drink and Death. Wayward are musicians who use pipes, hurdy gurdy, harp and drums to play traditional music with a non-traditional approach. They play them with ‘grunt’ with their own interpretation as would have been played in medieval taverns and at feasts. This music creates an atmosphere of excitement that releases the spirit of our ancestors and calls us to dance to the songs of old. Wayward’s unique way of captivating and intriguing audiences guarantees an afternoon of top entertainment! Bookings are recommended!
North By Northwest Poetry and Folk Club meets in The Cornucopia Cafe, and is one of the best acoustic venues in Sydney. Refreshments are available and BYO’s are welcome.

How to get there:
The Cornucopia Cafe is in the grounds of the Old Gladesville Hospital, corner of Victoria Rd and Punt Rd Gladesville. If coming by car from the city end over Gladesville Bridge, it is on the left, and is a few blocks before the Gladesville shops. Turn left into Punt Rd at the police station. If coming from the other end, turn right into Punt Rd - there is a set of lights and a right hand turning bay there. Go to the end of Punt Rd, and just before Banjo Patterson cottage, there is a gate on your left. Turn into the grounds, then take your first turn left again up towards Victoria Rd. When you come to a fork in the road, take the left fork, still heading up towards Victoria Rd, and turn left at the top, near the fence. We are in a two-storey stone building on your left, with the sign “Cornucopia Coffee Shop”. You can actually see it from Victoria Rd. There is plenty of parking in various places near the building. On the other hand, if coming by bus, the 500/501 bus stops nearby in Victoria Rd, and you can walk in from there.
