CARUS acoustic
Carus returns to the Peninsula Lounge for a rare acoustic show. Whilst he has built a name for himself on the festival circuit backed by his band The True Believers, it all began in Melbourne for this singer-songwriter performing solo-acoustic at tiny venues. His acoustic shows have since become highly anticipated (he has sold out the Northcote Social Club twice) and we look forward to hosting him at The Peninsula Lounge in this mode for the first time. Accompanied by good friends Greg Arnold (whose band Things of Stone & Wood spawned the massive hit “Happy Birthday Helen”) and Lucy Fisher on violin, it promises to be a great night! Greg will also open the show with a set of his own.

INK (NSW) with AMPHETAME (USA)
Ink came together in January 2006 and have since worked at honing their sound in a bid to surpass the respective members previous achievements, in industrial rock act Jerk and Anxiety Whispers; The main objective of all concerned has been to make Ink a substantially different kind of beast to the players’ previous outfits, while not losing the intensity, drive or energy of said bands. Hence, Ink embodies melody, power, aggression and a dark energy all their own. Guests Fading Hour.
