RED EYES album launch
The Red Eyes started in Fitzroy Melbourne in July 2002 as a loose collective of musicians improvising in a dub style. By 2004 the band had completed the transition from a mellow improvised dub collective to the incendiary foundation shaking dub/reggae live show they are today. THE PANDA BAND (WA) and THE EXPLODERS
The Panda Band are an indie pop band originating from WA. They are touring a new single ‘Lovely Shoulders’ from their recent LP ’This Vital Chapter’ which has influences by Nick Cave, The Beach Boys and Pink Floyd. The Exploders return home after recording their second album. They play raw, dirty rock’n'roll with guitar driven power groups like The Who, The Yardbirds and Cream being strong influences for these three young men from the deep and dark backwoods of Victoria’s Lake Bolac. Their self titled debut has 11 tracks of pure sexy rock, bursting with energy, catchy riffs, hooks and grooves. Guests The Dirty Secrets. Doors 8.30pm.

DARREN HANLON (NSW)
A veteran of the Australian music scene, having completed stints as a supporting guitarist and keyboard player for The Lucksmiths, The Simpletons, The Deerhunters and Mick Thomas, singer/songwriter Darren Hanlon officially stepped out on his own in 1999. A charming and clever songwriter, drawing comparisons to Evan Dando and Billy Bragg, Hanlon wasted little time in establishing himself as a compelling songwriter with his observational wit and memorable pop hooks.
