NEIL MURRAY + LIZ STRINGER
Neil Murray is one of Australia’s most respected singer/songwriters and has enjoyed a solo career since 1989 and released seven albums. His work doesn’t shy from social commentary, nor is he preoccupied with it. His art is driven by a sense of conscience, justice and honesty. For Neil Murray, any truth gained - no matter how bad - is always liberating. Neil Murray first appeared in the early eighties as a founding member of the Warumpi Band. In 1995, Neil Murray was awarded the APRA song of the year for “My Island Home”.

Sat 14 June
JEFF LANG with Kara Grainger (dual album launch)
Singer-songwriter Jeff Lang has built up a reputation for startlingly original performances, working without a set list, allowing the unique energy of each night to shape the songs. While Lang will talk of his admiration for the elemental blues of Skip James, the raw gospel of Blind Willie Johnson, the devastating guitar work of Jimi Hendrix, the masterful slide guitar of Ry Cooder, and the sublime songwriting of Bob Dylan and Richard Thompson, comparisons to these artists fails to paint an adequate picture.

APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION (Guns ‘n’ Roses Tribute Show)
GUNS -N- ROSES tribute show… APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION” was one of, if not the most influential album of the late 80’s early 90’s, and for each of the five members of this awesome tribute act, it was this album that defined their own careers as musicians. Forming out of respect, this band came together to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the release of “Appetite for Destruction”, and the response was overwhelming. GUNS -N- ROSES fans came from every corner of Melbourne, with their hair high, dressed up and ready to party, and they were not disappointed.
