Thursday 6th May sees not only the staggeringly non-brokeback country marvels, The Swiftones, but also the psychedelic journey makers Buried Feather, and all new dirty indie grungesters Toyota War taking it up a notch at Pony. It’ll be a multi-genre, multi-generational that will be good for all you scenesters, so get on down kid-ohs.

Pony and its patrons will be blown away next Friday by the tasty, melodious act entitled Scar the Surface, who’ve spent the last two months gigging and promoting their E.P Take Your Fight To The Sun. From out of the peace and beauty of regional Victoria comes the brutality of Primordial Space. Featuring members from NeObliviscaris, Implicate Order and Aphotic Dawn, Primordial Space are a band bursting with talent and shouldn’t be missed. Then there’s The Symbiosist, who are a band to get excited about. Taking metal and combining it with melody, intensity and ambience, The Symbiosist sound will inflict emotion onto their audience and have you hooked from the first verse. Local band White Cell will be kicking off the night and are in good form having recently recorded an album.

Don’t be a sap and let these winter vibes bring you down. Winter pumps. And so does Eagle & The Worm. Sweet times and big fat lines is what you’ll see at Pony late this Friday night when Eagle & The Worm bring their sack of tropical bliss to Pony. Yeah, that’s right….big fat lines down the street and round the corner as Melbourne’s finest ladies and foulest fellas wait patiently for a glimpse of their newest nine piece hero machine. This shit be crafty, it also be the opposite to voodoo. You guessed it, Doovoo. Eagle & The Worm, 2am Pony. Wear a Jersey Boys cap for free make-outs with bar staff (if you’re hot enough of course).

Saturday - drop ya pants and grind! Super Fun Happy Slide return to Pony for more rambunctious grindcore shenanigans, hot off the back of their latest t-shirt release. They haven’t released any new music since their CD album of last year, but they have shitloads of new gurgling, grinding, raging tunes for lovers of all things blastbeat, d-beat and outrageous guitar solos. What more could you want? Well you’ll get more from killer supports from new hardcore and grind bands Trench Sisters (featuring Roskopp and Extortion members) and Ross, as well as a fair dose of brain-bending noise from Psychward vs Tea & Sympathy Symphony (featuring members of Pathetic Human. All this on a Saturday night at Pony. Crikey!
