CAPERS MELBOURNE
PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH

THE WOLFE GANG AND BOB SEDERGREEN

TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME, COOKING UP A DELICIOUS MELTING POT OF BLUES AND JAZZ

ONE SHOW ONLY - FRIDAY 5 AUGUST 2005

Pianist Bob Sedergreen is one of the greatest performers of blues and jazz this country has produced. He has worked with some of the most recognized talents in Australia and internationally including Jimmy Witherspoon, Nat Adderley and Dizzy Gillespie.

From traditional to contemporary, Bob infuses his music with authority of style, creative expression and humour, in a way that involves the musicians around him and the entire audience.

Continuing his legendary record of collaboration with outstanding local musicians, Bob joins The Wolfe Gang for the first time in this extraordinary show.

The Wolfe Gang bounded onto the Australian blues scene in 2003 with their debut CD, Coming Back For More, and feel-good blend of blues and jazz. Led by vocalist, Diana Wolfe, the Gang - Broc O’Connor (guitar), Roy Zedras (bass) and Peter Robertson (drums) - has performed at festivals including the Australian Blues Music Festival, Rutherglen’s famous Winery Walkabout Weekend and the Mt Beauty Music Muster.

The Gang members are accomplished musicians with a shared love of the blues and decades of experience performing at festivals, touring, recording and supporting international acts including Van Morrison and the late Roy Orbison.

This once-only show is a rare opportunity to be ‘in the kitchen’ as these great musicians cook up a tantalising brew of jazz and blues.
