Tjapukai Redevelopment & Auditions

Dear Performers and Representatives of Australian Indigenous Cultures,
Tjapukai Aboriginal Culture Park is undergoing a $12 million dollar redevelopment and as part of that process I have been engaged to replace their daytime cultural dance show and then later in the year the night time dinner show experience. As part of that upgrade we are going to be auditioning Indigenous performers and exponents of Indigenous culture to help us fulfill our cultural and performance objectives.
Auditions will be held in:
Kuranda 25th February
Cairns 4th March
Brisbane 5th March
Sydney 6th March
Melbourne 7th March
Adelaide 8th March
Venue details in these cities will be forward to all applicants.

We will be offering Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions to successful applicants. All applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island decent.
Skills and abilities we are looking for will include;
• Traditional and Contemporary dance representing the diversity of Indigenous Cultures across Australia & the Torres Strait.
• Story Tellers of Indigenous Culture
• Artists
• Traditional and Contemporary Dance Choreographer.
• Musicians, Singers and recording artists of Indigenous Music Scores.
• Individuals with Cultural skills such as tool making, Didgeridoo making, Humpie & Shelter building etc
• All exponents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures will be considered for employment.
• Food & medicines identification and preparations.
