TWO NEW SHOWS ADDED FOR ROB THOMAS ‘CRADLESONG’ TOUR
There’s no doubt Australia has embraced Rob Thomas, both as the front man of Matchbox 20 and as a solo artist.
With shows on his Australian tour selling out, and due to overwhelming demand, two new shows have been added to his 2010
Australian ‘Cradlesong’ tour – one night only at Canberra’s Royal Theatre and ‘a day on the green’ at Scotchmans Hill at Spray
Farm on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula.
Tickets will go on sale over two dates on Monday November 23 for Spray Farm and Tuesday November 24 for Canberra.
With ‘Cradlesong’, Rob has continued his reign as one of the most played artists on Australian radio. After four months the
album still sits in the ARIA Top 30 after peaking at #3 and is approaching double platinum sales. The album has already
produced two massive hit singles ‘Someday’ and ‘Her Diamonds’, which was the most played song on Australian radio for four
consecutive weeks.
The album’s third single ‘Give Me The Meltdown’ has just been released and is sure to be a smash hit over the summer
months. In its first week it was the # 1 most added song on Australian radio.
Rob commenced the ‘Cradlesong’ tour in late September and has been winning rave reviews across America. Carlos Santana
made a special appearance during the encore of a show in San Jose, California and the pair joined for stirring renditions of
‘Smooth’, ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ and ‘Voodoo Child’. A week later in Atlanta, the members of Matchbox 20 made a surprise
appearance on stage, performing ‘Bright Lights’ and ‘Disease’ to an ecstatic crowd.
“…Perfect. Hints of turmoil, but ultimately catharsis and triumph.” - Boston Herald
“an emotionally generous and very satisfying performance.” - St. Paul Pioneer Press
” a marvellously tasteful acoustic version of his successful 1999 collaboration with Santana, “Smooth”. Even better was his
memorable take on ‘Streetcorner Symphony’. And on the soulful ‘Lonely No More’, Thomas effectively channelled his inner Al
Green. These superior moments were complemented by Thomas’ outstanding seven-piece band.” - Kansas City Star
Special guest support artist Vanessa Amorosi is also lighting up the charts with her brilliant single ‘This Is Who I Am’ which
debuted at #1. Vanessa’s new album ‘Hazardous’ was released last week (Nov 6) and will consolidate her place as one of our
most popular and successful female vocalists.

I’m happy that Vanessa teamed up with Rob to have a tour so she could get around Australia! I would’ve liked to see the show though, but Vanessa would’ve been better than the ‘Hazardous’ album. I can only imagine!
