Voodoo Trash Dolls presents DRESSED TO KILL
Starring: Sparkarella, Ms Zhing, Damage Deluxe and Méchante Chatte
Directed by John-Paul Hussey
The Voodoo Trash Dolls have teamed up with John-Paul Hussey, writer and performer of the
critically acclaimed Monkey Trilogy with their latest show, Dressed to Kill.
Back to bitch slap your burlesque world, the Dolls are armed and ready with an highly
entertaining evening where cabaret meets burlesque meets performance art meets “Oh my
god I can’t believe she just did that!”
Be amazed by wayward women at the gallows, international kick boxing champions, bawdy
busted brides, narcissistic noir love suicides, not to mention sleepy snow white and her incurable
insomnia!
With their cutting edge antics the Voodoo Trash Dolls have been pioneers of Melbourne’s
burlesque movement since 2005.
Whilst many Australian troupes play with the Americana bump and grind or 19th century
Victorian sleaze, the Voodoo Trash Dolls are refreshingly contemporary bringing the art of
parody, satire and dark political humour of burlesque very much to the here and now.
The Voodoo Trash Dolls take burlesque to a new level blending a wide range of performance
elements such as sassy choreography, comedy, theatre and political (in)correctness with acts
that shock, titillate and entertain.
Using angle grinding, knives, theatrics, acrobatic pole dancing, piercing and much more, the
dolls create a dynamic, sexy and highly entertaining evening of raunchy, risqué performance.
With Dressed to Kill, the Voodoo Trash Dolls offer you their finest and most ambitious show
yet.
