ROCK AEROBICS
Rock Aerobics is a dance fitness class for rock music lovers, hosted every Thursday night at Yah Yah’s. Don’t usually go to a gym? Aren’t really into dance music or Top 40? Well Rock Aerobics is for you. Here we pogo, skank, do the Mick Jagger walk, we air guitar and just jump around to songs from folk like ACDC and Iggy Pop. Come along on the night, no bookings are required. But remember to wear sneakers, and bring a towel!

TIJUANA SOUVENIRS – EP Launch
KIDS IN CULTS
Tijuana Souvenirs are launching their nice, new and shiny EP this Thursday at Yah Yah’s. From the smallest bars to the backstreets in the hearts of everyone, Tijuana Souvenirs are that lump at the back of your throat, that glare in your eyes, that fucked up aunty at your child’s birthday party that gets drunk and flash’s her boobs at the guest’s. They are here for a long time not a good time. They are too old to die young and too young to get discount meals at all-you-can-eat restaurants. Having met while working at Luna Park, the legend suggests one of them may have been sacked for tampering with the balls you insert in the open clown’s mouth to win a prize. In protest they locked themselves inside the Gravatron and wrote what turned out to be a set of songs. See if those songs are any good when they are released into compact disc immortality this Thursday at Yah Yah’s with those crazy Kids In Cults. The Tijuana Souvenirs ride start’s here.

PETE ROSS & THE PAESANOS
SEAN McMAHON (DOWNHILLS HOME)
Having relocated twelve months ago from Melbourne to Italy, tracing his musical and family ancestry, Pete Ross (the former guitarist from Dan Brodie & The Broken Arrows), has returned to Australia to tour in July. Pete is also releasing his debut album Pete Ross & The Paesanos Six String Suicide (out now via MGM) which features guest star Melbourne musical luminaries Liz Stringer and Matt Walker. Joining him on stage will be Matt Green (guitar/backing vocals), Monique Boggia (keys/backing vocals), and members of The Vandas – Julien Chick (bass), Chris Altmann (guitar) and Gus Agars (drums) PLUS the horn section from Melbourne’s best rock’n’roll party band Dynamo. Pete has rapidly forged his own career in Italy by signing to Steamroller record label and has been touring extensively to an ever-expanding and adoring Italian crowd. His Australianness is a curiosity to his fans, but his Sicilian roots have embedded him in the local culture. Catch Pete on his brief return before he heads back to Europe at Yah Yah’s on Friday 10th July with Sean McMahon from Downhills Home.
